Jim Brumby is Senior Adviser, Governance, stationed in Singapore. He took up this role in 2019 having spent four years as Director in the Governance global practice. Throughout his professional life he has been engaged in public management reform at the state, national, and international levels, joining the Bank in 2007 where he had a leading role in public financial management reform in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management group. He previously served as Practice Manager for the EAP región based in Jakarta, Indonesia and as the Sector Manager and Lead Economist for the Indonesia country program. Prior to this, he was Sector Manager for Public Sector & Governance. His experience also spans several managerial positions in IMF, OECD, Treasury of NZ and Victoria State Government in Australia.
