Jing Guo is an External Affairs Officer with the World Bank’s Human Development Practice Group. She has more than a decade of experience in strategic communication and journalism. Prior to her current role, she was with the Bank’s corporate communications team, working on media relations, messaging, risk management, and event planning. Jing also led opinion polls in more than a hundred countries for the Bank’s Public Opinion Research Group.
Before joining the Bank, she was a public radio reporter and a web and video editor in the U.S. as well as a media partnership officer with China Central Television based in Beijing. Jing holds a Ph.D. in journalism from the University of Maryland, where she was an Eleanor Merrill Scholar and taught for three years. She's published several peer-reviewed journal articles and spoken at international and national conferences on media and communication studies.
