Jo de Berry is a Senior Social Development Specialist, who focuses on bringing a development response to forced displacement. She started this interest with a PhD based on an anthropological study of the prospects for recovery for people living in an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Uganda. She subsequently worked with Save the Children in Afghanistan, with UNICEF in South Asia, with local Government in south London. With the World Bank she led a number of projects to support IDPs in the Caucasus and has worked on responses to the Syrian refugee crisis in Turkey and on refugee populations throughout East Africa.
