Joana is a senior researcher at the Education Policy Institute (EPI). She completed her PhD in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics and was a visiting research student at University College London (UCL), having collaborated on projects at the London School of Economics and with the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Her research interests include economics of education, in particular social mobility and vulnerable learners and the school workforce.
