Joanna Corzo is a consultant in the World Bank’s Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice. Prior to joining the Bank, she was a senior Communications specialist for international development. Her past experiences include working as an Executive Director for an international NGO in the delivery of school meal programs in conflict areas, women empowerment and community-driven development to project management in anti-trafficking efforts in the US, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Joanna holds a MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with focus on gender and migration, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Maryland College Park with a specialization in Latin America and the Caribbean Studies. She is part of the advisory group on gender equality at the UNESCO’s World Water Assessment Program and an active Human Rights advocate.
