John Ikeda, Water and Sanitation Specialist at the World Bank Group Water Global Practice's Water and Sanitation Program, works on private sector participation in water and sanitation for the poor, focusing on small and medium informal enterprises and microfinance. Ikeda was previously CEO and Co-founder of Bluelight, a digital finance social enterprise and 2013 winner of the Harvard New Venture Competition, in addition to working at two leading microfinance NGOs: Grameen Foundation and World Council of Credit Unions. He holds an MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MPA/ID from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
