John Kjorstad is a global infrastructure and energy market subject matter expert with a background in journalism. He is a former editor of Infrastructure Journal and has 13 years of experience in infrastructure development, policy, and finance. John is a founding member of the International Network of Scholars in Project Finance, and co-produces The Project podcast with his friend Kenny Whitelaw-Jones.
John is an associate director in KPMG’s Global Infrastructure business where he supports clients and colleagues with strategy, business development, research and analysis, and stakeholder engagement. In 2018, John was seconded into HM Treasury in the United Kingdom to support Her Majesty's Government with a policy strategy in response to China’s Belt & Road Initiative (BRI). He grew up in the United States and has degrees from the University of North Dakota and City, University of London.
