John Nasir is an American national who joined the World Bank in 1997 as a consultant. Since then he has worked on private sector development issues in a variety of countries including in Africa, South Asia and MENA regions. Since 2007 he has been the Country Economist for West Bank and Gaza and is returning to HQ after more than four years living in Jerusalem.
