John Paul Clark, MHS, MSc (Econ.), ScD, is an epidemiologist and health planner. He is the coordinator of the World Bank’s 16 country Regional Disease Surveillance Systems Enhancement Program, a flagship program for outbreak preparedness and response and the Bank’s One Health Strategy. He provides technical leadership in the areas of communicable diseases and maternal and child health in the Global Practice for Health, Nutrition and Population. John Paul joined the World Bank in 2006 as Sr. Technical Specialist for the Booster Program for Malaria Control in Africa. Prior to joining the Bank, he held senior positions at US Department of Health and Human Services, USAID and the World Health Organization. John Paul holds advanced degrees public health and social policy and planning from the Johns Hopkins University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
