John Randa is a senior economist at the Macroeconomic and Fiscal Global Practice, where he focuses on macro fiscal work in Kenya and Somalia country programs. Between 2008 and 2011, he took external leave from the World Bank Group to be a senior advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya. Before joining the Central Bank, he served as a member of the Monetary Policy Advisory Committee for over two years. John studied at the University of Nairobi, the University of Warwick, and the University of Oxford.
