Jon Mikel Walton works as a communications consultant within the World Bank's Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), as well as the disaster risk management team for the Europe and Central Asia region. Through a variety of campaigns and public events, he supports strategic efforts to mainstream climate and disaster resilience into global development policies. He also works alongside colleagues in the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme, USAID, and the Government of Japan to manage the Resilience Dialogue series, which brings together prominent thought leaders to explore challenges and opportunities within the resilience agenda. He is currently a candidate in the Erasmus Mundus Masters Program in Public Policy, with a focus on the growing impact of technology on political economy and development.
