Jorge Castaño is the Financial Superintendent of Colombia since 2017. He joined the Financial Superintendence of Colombia in 2005 serving in different capacities, including Acting Financial Superintendent, Director of Research and Development and Delegate for Securities Brokers and Other Agents. Between 2015 and 2017 he served as Director of Fogafin, the Colombian deposit insurance fund. Jorge has a law degree from the Externado University of Colombia with specialization in Financial and Stock Market Law and a European Master in Economic Development from Carlos III University of Madrid.
