Jorge Trevino, a Bolivian national, joined the World Bank in 2008 as an STC, working initially in rural development, environment, and local integrated planning. Jorge brought to the Bank vast experience in the public and private sectors, in diverse areas such as rural development, environment, governmental control, integral planning in rural and urban areas, and water resources management. His experience includes research, project design, and managerial positions in public and private institutions. He also served as General Comptroller and chaired the boards of Development Funds in his native country. His experience at the Bank touches LAC and African regions. Currently, he is working mainly on projects and analytical activities in the Sahelian region in Cameroon and the Lake Chad basin, and in Bolivia.
