Jose Carlos Villena Perez is currently an Operations Analyst at MIGA in the agribusiness, manufacturing, and services sector. Formerly he worked in as Operations Manager at the Spanish development finance agency, COFIDES. There, he was responsible for the modeling and analysis of the operations, ratings, and credit risk for more than 50 projects in diverse regions. He was also responsible for monitoring and supervising the projects.
Previous to COFIDES, Villena Perez worked as a Junior International Trade Advisor at Spanish embassy in the Russian Federation. There, he advised Spanish companies conducting business in the Russian, Belorussian, Georgian, and Armenian markets.
Villena Perez holds degrees in business administration, law, and actuarial and financial sciences from Carlos III University in Madrid. He also holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in international business management from the Centro de Estudios Comerciales y Económicos (CECO), as well as a Master’s degree in microfinance and social development from Alcala University.
