Josephine Goma is short-term consultant in the Water Global Practice of the World Bank based in Zambia. She has worked in the water supply and sanitation sector in Zambia since 2002. She started off by working for two international nongovernmental organizations focusing on refugee and rural water supply, sanitation, and hygiene, where she was involved in strategic planning, documentation, research and advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation. She then moved to the Zambia National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) with responsibilities including water supply and sanitation pricing, financial analysis for water supply and sanitation utilities, financial inspections/compliance checking, liaising with external/internal auditors for water supply and sanitation utilities and the Auditor General, development of guidelines, among other things.
