Joumana Asso, Senior Private Sector Development Specialist at the Climate Investment Funds, covers the private sector portfolio of the funds for the past three years, and supports its works and that of the MDBs on implementation and strategic levels. Prior to that, she worked four years in the Cleantech Group at IFC, at the first VC investing vehicle in cleantech in the WBG, supporting startups across the globe in renewables, energy efficiency, and industrial waste. Also, she has worked in project finance and corporate finance in the heavy industry for five years, which gives her an in depth knowledge of of climate change issues in relation to industry and climate solutions in financial and industry terms.
