Juan Feng, a Chinese national, is an Economist at the World Bank in Washington DC. She joined the Bank in 2008, and has since focused most of her research on poverty monitoring and social indicator development. In her current capacity as an economist in the development data group, Juan conducts poverty and inequality data quality assessments and related analysis, collaborates with UN agencies to improve MDG monitoring methodology, and contributes to the IDA Result Management System and Corporate Scorecard monitoring tasks. Her past portfolio includes research on policy impacts on China's cultivated land conversion to urban uses, private sector development in Sub-Saharan Africa, and agricultural and rural development in Morocco. Juan received her doctoral degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from University of Maryland - College Park.
