Juan Pablo Uribe, MD, is the Director of the Division for Central America and the Dominican Republic at the World Bank since July 1, 2025, based in Panama City. He leads the strategic dialogue and implementation of the Bank's support in the countries of the region. He works closely with development partners and stakeholders, promoting cooperation with IFC and MIGA. Previously, he was the Global Director of Health at the World Bank and Colombia's Minister of Health and Social Protection. His career has been marked by significant contributions to public health development and the strengthening of health systems in public, private, and international sectors.
