Jules Gazeaud is a Postdoctoral Fellow at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa. His research focuses on the design and evaluation of poverty alleviation programs, including work on social protection, migration, education, and poverty targeting. Part of his research is based on fieldwork and randomized experiments in Comoros, Egypt, Portugal, and Tunisia. With the World Bank, Jules has been evaluating the impact of a cash-for-work program in Comoros and a cash grant and training program in Tunisia. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches en Développement International (CERDI) at Université Clermont Auvergne.
