Julia is co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Meridiam, a global long-term infrastructure fund based in Paris with over $20 billion of assets under management and over 120 projects across the UK, Europe, North America, and Africa. Meridiam, funded by pension funds and insurance companies, is a developer, investor, and asset manager and has invested $80 billion of capital. Meridiam is a major proponent of responsible and community-based sustainable investment.
Julia is also Deputy Chair of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission and a member of the UK government’s Investment Council. She is the Chair of the Fulcrum Infrastructure Group and Chair of NeuConnect Limited, a company developing a major energy interconnector between the UK and Germany. She sits on the Advisory Panel of Glenmont Renewable Energy Fund; is a non-Executive Director of the International Project Finance Association; an Honorary Professor at the Bartlett School, University College London; and Deputy Chair of the Port of Tyne in the UK.
She is the co-founder of the group Women Leaders in Infrastructure. Her previous roles have included Head of European Infrastructure for the Bank of Scotland, Head of Project Advisory for Charterhouse Bank, and Head of Project Finance at Hill Samuel.
