Julian Ashwin completed a PhD in Economics from the University Oxford in 2022 and is now a postdoctoral researcher at London Business School as well as a New Map of Life fellow at the Stanford Center on Longevity. His research interests are in macroeconomics, with a particular focus on aging societies and information frictions. His research includes applications of natural language processing tools to contexts such as central bank communication, financial market volatility and refugee well-being, as well as work on learning and indeterminacy in economic models.
