Julian is a Senior Climate Change Specialist covering Europe and Central Asia Region for the Environment Global Practice of the World Bank. Since joining the Bank in 2012, he has managed investment projects, development policy operations, emission reductions programs, and technical assistance and analytics targeting climate policy, carbon pricing, landscape management, biodiversity conversation, and forestry in Latin America and the Caribbean and in Central Africa. Prior to joining the Bank, Julian worked for the IFC in Bosnia-Herzegovina, UNDP in Rwanda, at the Ecologic Institute in Germany, and as the Chief Operating Officer of Planetair, a Canadian carbon offset provider. Julian holds a Master’s in Public Affairs with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Development from Princeton University, and a B.A. (Hons.) in International Development Studies from the University of Toronto.
