Juliana Castaño-Isaza is a Natural Resources Management Specialist at the World Bank’s ENB’s Global Unit. She is a Task Team Leader of global analytical blue economy products, and is also part of the PROBLUE Secretariat supporting the Integrated Seascapes Management Pillar. For the last 10 years she has worked on the incorporation of nature-based solutions in disaster risk management, and climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts in urban, rural and coastal areas. In addition, she has supported the development financing instruments for conservation including climate insurance products and payments for ecosystem services. Juliana holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, and a master’s degree in Sustainable International Development.
