Juliana Lopes is an Associate Industry Specialist for Climate Smart Agriculture Finance at the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in IFC. With over ten years of experience working at the intersection of agriculture, climate change, and development, her career spans various roles in academia, the private sector, the United Nations, and the World Bank Group. Juliana joined IFC in 2021, providing technical support and guidance for climate smart agriculture investment and advisory projects through financial institutions.
Before joining IFC, Juliana was engaged in various technical capacities at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), where she provided technical and policy advice to member countries and supported FAO's climate finance portfolio.
She holds a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Cooperation from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Italy) and Dairy Sciences from the University of Wisconsin at Madison (USA).
