Economist

Julieta Trias is an Economist in the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice at the World Bank. She works on early childhood development, cash transfers, and social protection systems. She leads the design, implementation and management of a range of World Bank operations and provides technical assistance to governments. She has led multiple impact evaluations on human development programs. She was co-Global Lead for Social Safety Nets at the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice and the Early Childhood Development and Nutrition Coordinator at the World Bank Strategic Impact Evaluation Fund. She led the impact evaluation capacity building pillar for the Strategic Impact Evaluation Fund. Before joining the World Bank, she worked at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (UK), the Inter-American Development Bank (USA), and the Center of Distributive, Labor and Social Studies (Argentina). She holds a PhD in Economics from the University College London (UK), a Master in Economics from the National University of La Plata (Argentina) and a Bachelor in Economics from the National University of Cuyo (Argentina).
