Junyu Niu, director of the Public Performance and Information Research Center (PPIRC), Fudan University. Professor Niu's main fields are Computer Science, Software Engineering, Public Performance Management, Public Financial Management, Government Big Data, Public Policy, Public Administration.
In recent years, Professor Junyu Niu has mainly focused her research on optimizing government performance management by means of software engineering. Professor Junyu Niu has paid attention to the combination of theory and practice, and has designed and implemented hundreds of government performance management and information systems in China. Of the projects mentioned above, two—with China State Bureau of Taxation and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as the clients—that Professor Junyu Niu participated in and acted as the principal investigator for have been selected as the best practice cases in the 2018 worldwide public performance management report by the World Bank.
