Kanitha Kongrukgreatiyos is the External Affairs Officer for the World Bank Thailand office since January 2015. Prior to the World Bank, she worked at the Rockefeller Foundation (2013-2014) and supported the Foundation on regional communications efforts in Asia and as a Communications Consultant at UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (2008-2009) strengthening the impact of programs on girl’s education and early childhood. She was also one of the first pioneers in a team that built the Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) (2010-2012) which she moved into as Communications Officer once it was established as an independent entity in Singapore. During her time there she has played in instrumental role in building awareness of ARNEC such that it is now well-recognized as a reputable, credible and influential network in the early childhood sector. She has also held various assignments with the Bloomberg BusinessWeek Magazine, Radio Thailand and German multinational, Siemens Ltd in Thailand. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Global Media Communications from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
