Kanza Azeemi is pursuing undergraduate studies in Economics at Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan. She writes for newspapers in Pakistan and Japan, and seeks to use her writing to raise important social issues pertinent to developing countries. She has been awarded scholarships for exchange programs to Waseda University, Tokyo for a semester and to National University of Singapore for a summer program on 'Economic and Enterprise Development'. She won the Best Paper Award at SAESM 2012, Nepal. Her research paper focused on the behavioral failures leading to the energy paradox in the energy-efficient lighting market in developing countries. She is profoundly interested in Behavioral and Development Economics and seeks to pursue further studies in the field to later utilize her learning to improve the landscape of education in Pakistan and to encourage entrepreneurship in developing countries.
