Kaoru Kimura is an ICT Policy Specialist with the World Bank's Transport and ICT Global Practice.
Since 2004, Kaoru has been working for operational projects at the World Bank Global ICT unit, including various connectivity projects, e-government projects and ICT surveys in Sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia. Also she has been actively involved in analytical work, where she takes the lead on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) designs, as well as ICT sector indicators.
She manages an annual joint publication series, “Little Data Book on Information and Communication Technology,” with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Before joining the World Bank, Kaoru worked at Nippon Telegraph and Telecommunication (NTT) in Japan. Kaoru holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo, Japan.
