Karen Navarro is a Water and Sanitation specialist at the World Bank based in Colombia. She oversees the management of the country's water projects such as: Flood Recovery and Control of the Bogotá River, Plan Todos Somos Pazcífico and the management of support for the Government through donations. She has been working in water, institutions and infrastructure for more than 10 years as she combines experience from the private, public sector and the international development field. Besides, from her activities as a water specialist, Karen also leads the Diversity and Inclusion initiative at the Country Office. Karen holds a master’s degree in Water Resources Management from UNESCO IHE in the Netherlands and bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Industrial Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia.
