Katherine Stapleton is a Senior Economist in the World Bank's Economic Policy Global Practice. She joined the World Bank in 2020 and has worked as an economist in the West Africa region, East Asia Pacific region and in the Development Economics Research Group. In these positions, she has led the World Bank’s policy dialogue on a range of economic policy issues and has managed operations, technical assistance, and advisory services, and undertaken analytical work on several development topics. Her research interests and publications focus on the fields of international economics, economic growth, innovation, technological change and climate policy. Katherine holds a master's and doctorate in Economics from Oxford University.
