Kathryn is an economist, specializing in agriculture and natural resource management. She holds a Master of Arts (Economics) from the University of Alberta. She started her career in the Canadian Public Service, in the Federal Departments of Employment and Immigration, and Finance. Kathryn has worked at the World Bank in various capacities for over 21 years, serving as Senior Adviser to the Canadian representative on the World Bank Executive Board, as a senior economist in the central policy department, and as Country Program Coordinator in the Africa and East Asia/Pacific regions. Kathryn now serves as Agriculture Practice Manager in the South Asia region, providing leadership and oversight to the agriculture and livelihoods programs in India and Sri Lanka.
