Kebba Jammeh is a Consultant with the Migration and Remittances Unit of the World Bank. Prior to joining the Bank, Kebba worked as a Consultant with the Macroeconomic Research department of the African Development Bank (AfDB) where he led AfDB’s efforts in compiling and documenting data on the growing number and assets under management of African Sovereign Wealth Funds. He also worked with the University of Essex (UK), the Institute for Social and Economic Research (UK), OneSight International, the University of the Gambia and Gambia’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs. Mr. Jammeh is a final year PhD candidate at the University of Essex, UK, and previously attended the London School of Economics, Queen Mary University of London and the University of the Gambia. His main research interest is in the micro-foundations of macroeconomic issues especially in the use of computational tools to understand welfare cost of risk and uncertainty, earnings/income dynamics, optimal taxation, and remittances as a source of insurance for households in developing economies.
