Kennedy Mkutu Agade is a consultant with the World Bank Kenya and Democratic Republic of Congo Transport Teams. He is also a Professor in International Relations at United States International University-Africa (Nairobi) since 2010. His published research has covered areas such as pastoralist conflict, small arms, new resource conflicts, infrastructure projects and socioecological change in rural Africa, terrorism, urban crime, private security companies and crime and violence prevention. He is currently part of the “Roads to the Future” project with the University of Western Australia. Mkutu holds a Ph.D. in international relations and security studies and a Diploma in Research Methods from the University of Bradford (UK), a Masters in Public Administration from Jacksonville State University (USA), and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies from Southeastern University (Florida, USA).
