Kent Buse is Chief of Strategic Policy Directions at UNAIDS, and Co-founder of Global Health 50/50. He is a political-economist with a specialization in policy analysis. His textbook, Making Health Policy, is the go-to text for masters students at universities around the world. He has published approximately 100 peer reviewed papers and chapters on topics ranging from human rights, to public-private partnership, to NCDs prevention and sexual health. He previously taught at Yale University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and has worked for or advised many of the leading global health organizations, including WHO, UNICEF, World Bank, DFID, GAVI and GAIN.
