Khwima Nthara, is the World Bank Country Manager for Liberia. Prior to this position, he was an Economic Adviser in the Bank’s Operations Policy and Country Services (OPCS) Vice Presidency in Washington D.C. Mr Nthara has held various other positions within the World Bank including as Program Leader in Nigeria and as Senior Country Economist for Malawi, Myanmar, and Nigeria. Mr. Nthara holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Economics of Developing Countries, both from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
