Kibrom Tafere is an Economist in the Sustainability and Infrastructure Team of the Development Research Group. His research focuses on the welfare effects of weather shocks in developing countries. He works on human capital development, intergenerational transmission of shocks, temperature and schooling outcomes, rural livelihood adaptations, and index insurance. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Cornell University.
