Kien Trung Tran is a Senior Procurement Specialist for the World Bank’s Governance Global Practice. Mr. Kien, a Vietnamese national with a background in economic engineering, joined the Bank in 1999 and has worked in its procurement unit ever since. As a Procurement Specialist, Mr. Kien oversees procurement for various Bank-financed projects in Vietnam in the following secors: urban, water, energy, transport, health and education, IT, etc. Along with colleagues from the Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr. Kien also helps build the capacity of the Government of Vietnam in public procurement reform.
