Kristina Aquino is an Operations Officer for the World Bank’s Governance Global Practice (Procurement). A public policy practitioner by heart, she was designing and leading governance projects in East Asia with a focus on policies for open government, transparency, and citizen engagement until 2013. She currently works on supporting World Bank teams and clients on public procurement reform issues, such as the Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS), anticorruption and data analytics research and platforms, and open contracting. She also manages global trust fund programs, including the Procurement for Development (P4D) Umbrella Program. Kristina has an M.A. in Global Diplomacy from the University of London and completed her dissertation on the internationalization of procurement and governance policies.
