Kristyna Bishop is a Senior Social Development Specialist with the World Bank. Since joining the Bank in 2012, Kristyna has supported numerous projects in Latin America and Africa. She currently serves as the Social Development and Social Risk Country Management Unit Coordinator for Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Niger. Since 2018, she has provided operational support for the preparation of security and social risk assessments for various operations and has led efforts to document current World Bank practice regarding operational access in fragile, conflict and violence-affected contexts. A human rights lawyer by training, she holds a B.A. in International Relations from Carleton University, LL.B./J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and a LL.M. from Columbia Law School.
