Kudret Akgun is Chief Investment Officer for the Structured Products Group. In this position he supports IFC’s work on demand-side housing finance and capital markets products.
Kudret, a Turkish national, has over 25 years combined experience at IFC and in private financial institutions. He served as FIG New Business Manager and team leader in Europe, Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa regions before assuming his current DC-based role in which he leads investment, market-creation, and portfolio initiatives across multiple regions.
He brings deep expertise in organizational and strategy building, scaling innovative transactions, such as the first global gender bond in EMDEs and the first Digital Bond for IFC as well as managing partnerships and client relationships. He holds an MSc in Finance from London School of Economics.
