Kuldeepsingh Rajput is currently affiliated with the International Institute of Migration and Development (IIMAD) as a Senior Research Fellow. He is also associated with the Centre for Youth Development and Activities (CYDA) as a Research consultant for Migration, Education and Urban Poor projects. Prior to this, he has worked at Department of Sociology, Savitribai Phule Pune University as a Visiting Faculty for four years, and an Assistant Professor at a teacher-education institute for six years. He has worked as a faculty for the courses on Youth Development run by the Centre for Lifelong Learning, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), in joint collaboration with CYDA and Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI). He holds a doctorate in Sociology in which he has attempted to examine the poly-victimisation and hidden vulnerabilities among the young migrant construction workers. His writing and research interest lies in the internal (interstate) labour migration, policy dynamics, education of migrating children, politicisation of migrants, social security, urban migrant youth, inclusive cities and qualitative-driven mixed methodology.
