Kumala is an Urban Planner with experience in urban poverty, slum upgrading, and disaster risk management. She is an Operations Analyst in East Asia and Pacific region’s Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice. She has worked on projects related to reconstruction of housing and settlement in various post-disaster programs, community-based disaster risk reduction programs, urban poverty projects, gender awareness program in post disaster areas, national community empowerment program, and urban slum upgrading project. She holds a master’s degree in Economic Planning and Development Policy, and Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
