Kurt Larsen has more than 35 years of experience in development and implementation of education, science and innovation policies in the Danish Government, at the OECD, and at the World Bank. His core knowledge and experiences are multi-sectoral with the strongest expertise in post-secondary education including TVET as well as in science and innovation policy. He has gained a solid operational experience from skills development and higher education projects in India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Burkina Faso. He has furthermore supported science and innovation policies and strategies in Vietnam, Qatar, Jordan, India, Lebanon, China, Burkina Faso, Mali, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and Denmark.
Prior to the World Bank, he worked in OECD’s Education Directorate and the Secretary General’s Private Office for eight years and in the Danish government (Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology) for more than twelve years.
