Laine Rutledge is a doctoral student in the Department of Economics at the University of Washington, where she has taught Introductory Macroeconomics and Intermediate Microeconomics.
Her research focuses on education and labor markets in developing countries. She has conducted field research in Bolivia, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Uganda, and the Philippines. Her publications have appeared in Journal of Political Economy and World Bank Economic Review.
She is also a Data Consultant at the Center for Social Science Computation and Research at the University of Washington.
Before attending the University of Washington, she earned her M.A. in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco and her B.A. in Economics from Whitman College.
