Senior Environmental Consultant

Lama Mghames is a Senior Environmental Consultant (STC) in the Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice, working in the Middle East and North Africa region of the World Bank. She is currently a core team member of the Lebanon Environment team and works on the integrated solid waste management while focusing on sound environmental management of hazardous waste and chemicals. She has more than 18 years of experience in environmental projects management and an extensive practice in analyzing, drafting, and assessing environmental legislation, policies, strategies, and incentives. She recently led the implementation of the Bank’s GEF-funded project “PCBs Management in the Power Sector in Lebanon”.  She holds a MSc in Environmental Management and Legislation from Brunel University in UK and undergraduate degree in Environmental Science.
