Lara Loske-Garcia is a Junior Professional Officer in the World Bank’s Global Water Department, specializing in water resources management at both global and regional levels. Her work centers on building drought resilience and promoting transboundary water management. Lara co-led the development of the Drought Risk and Resilience Assessment Methodology and actively supports its implementation to strengthen drought preparedness at national and basin scales. She also contributes to initiatives coordinated by the World Bank’s Global Facility for Transboundary Water Cooperation. Lara holds a master’s degree in environmental process and energy engineering. Before joining the World Bank, she addressed water security challenges in various roles and most recently consulted for the private sector on environmental sustainability and climate action.
