Larissa is a Water Resources Management Specialist joining the Bank as a Young Professional in Washington D.C. She is currently working in the Latin America and the Caribbean region, supporting investment operations and analytic and advisory services on water resources management and climate resilience in Bolivia, Brazil and the Caribbean as well as global initiatives surrounding Transboundary Waters Management. Before joining the Bank, she worked in government and multinational organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Organization of Americas States (OAS), where she assisted countries in the deployment of integrated water resources management tools and strategies to increase water security, and the implementation of integrated approaches that increase resilience such as nature-based solutions, data-driven systems for decision making and the creation of innovative financing mechanisms through public-private partnerships. Larissa holds a BA in Civil Engineering, an MBA from the University of Aberdeen, and is pursuing a PhD in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering at Virginia Tech, USA.
