Laura Ruiz is a Data Analyst Consultant in the Development Economics Data Group at the World Bank in Washington D.C. Prior, Laura worked at the Health Nutrition and Population Division of the World Bank focusing on gender disparities in health. She also worked at the think tank Hudson Institute, conducting research on Latin America and South Asia, and she worked on the Educational Observatory of Colombia evaluating the impact of several public policies on educational attainment in the country. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Economics at University of Maryland, and she holds a BS in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Laura speaks English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
