Consultant

Consultant in Education and Public Policy. She has a bachelor’s in Education and master’s in Education Technology from Universidad de Salamanca and a master’s in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, with a Fulbright scholarship. She is alumni of the Creating Collaborative Solutions program at the Harvard Kennedy School from 2018. She is currently pursuing her doctoral program in Higher Education focusing on Public Policies.

Coordinator of the Dominican Initiative for Educational Quality, an observatory and multisectoral space to monitor the advancement of Dominican public education policies. Has been a consultant for the Education and Governance practices of the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program’s (UNDP) School on Human Development and Democratic Governance in Colombia and was the Academic Specialist for the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo. Has been advisor for the Ministry of Education in the Dominican Republic and consultant for various projects with international organizations and institutions on higher education. Laura has taught at university level and was part of the Managing Commission for the Proposal for the Education Quality Assurance System in the Dominican Republic between 2016 and 2018.
